Store certification concerns the physical spaces where gaming is carried out. The suitability of the facilities, compliance with access conditions, safety, privacy of the space and compliance with urban planning, health and regulatory requirements are checked. The HGC establishes a relevant Register of Certified VLT/Electronic Technical-Amusement Games establishments.
Based on current legislation, gaming venues are divided into two main categories:
- Establishments where games of chance are conducted through VLT type gaming machines. These Establishments are distinguished in:
- Type-B Establishments, where the specific type of gaming is conducted exclusively,
- Type-F Mixed use Establishments where the specific type of gaming is carried out together with other land-based OPAP S.A. games, and
- Type E Establishments: certified VLT gaming premises located on Greek-flag seagoing vessels operating international routes.
- Electronic technical-amusement games establishments (ETAGs).
- Type-Α Establishments, where the specific type of gaming is conducted exclusively
- Type-C Mixed-use premises where electronic technical-amusement games are conducted alongside the main business activity, and
- Type-D vessels on which electronic technical-amusement games are conducted, subject to the applicable regulatory framework.
